CASE Study - Bright Green Island

Developing vision and brand communication for transitioning Bornholm into a 100% green and sustainable society by 2025.

WHY

Bright Green Island, Bornholm is a 588 km2 living laboratory showing solutions and initiatives that can create a sustainable society. The island has deployed a long range of solutions that together show how some of the world’s energy and sustainability challenges can be addressed while benefitting the local community.

To inspire the global community and attract collaborators and visitors a new branding platform had to be developed to communicate the vision.

HOW

A core story and clear vision about Bornholms as a bright green island was developed. The basic idea is that Bright Green Island offers a creative playground for turning big problems into  sustainable solutions.

The storyline shows how Bornholm through its bright green vision transforms itself on several levels covering environmental, economic and social sustainability. The brand communicates the qualities of Bornholm both as a place to do business, make crafts and to live a sustainable life.

WHAT

We were part of a team creating a strategy and communication platform for Bright Green Island including the development of idea, concept and manuscript for a short promotional movie.

The assignment was solved in collaboration with Anders Wik and Good People.
